AFCEA SOUTH Launched



AFCEA has launched a new conference that will be in Miami in October. It will have the theme of “Drugs and the Americas: What Are the Challenges and the Global Impact?”

Joint Warfighting Attendance WAY Up!

The newly positioned AFCEA/USNI Joint Warfighting event in VA Beach next month is already off to a good start with more than 1,100 attendees preregistered for the show.

New for 2008, Joint Warfighting is working in coordination with the U.S. Joint Forces Command and with the support of the NDIA Greater Hampton Roads Chapter and the AFCEA Hampton Roads and Tidewater Chapters which will help to further boost attendance numbers.

Biometrics Tech Expo to Begin Booth Sales In the Coming Weeks

We will begin contacting the 2007 Biometrics Tech Expo exhibitors in the next couple of weeks as we begin the sales process for '08. Space will be assigned on a first come, first served basis and emails will be sent out as soon as the details are finalized.

We are just waiting on the final details and contracts to be signed by NIST and AFCEA before moving forward.

West 2008 Big Success

Over 12,000 people were in participation at last week's AFCEA/USNI West event in San Diego along with over 440 exhibiting companies. Dates for the 2009 event have been set for 10-12 February, 2009.

AFCEA/USNI East is now Joint Warfighting 2008 Conference



AFCEA and U.S. Naval Institute have announced that East, their Virginia Beach event in June, will now be called the Joint Warfighting 2008 Conference.

The theme of the event will be:
"Global Engagement: What Should DoD's Role Be in the 21st Century?"
